Admission requirements:
Successfully completed BA Programme in History in Croatia, or outside Croatia, subject to taking the differential exam in the national group of history courses.

Competencies acquired upon completion of studies (learning outcomes):
- Understand the situation and trends of historic events, understand their influence on the individual, organisations and society and evaluate their applicability in a given context;
- Understand the essential factors influencing the education and adequate work qualifications of a historian for positions which require their work and contribution;
- Understand the scientific methodology and the theory of history as a profession;
- Model the logical, analytical and synthetical thinking about the scientific phenomena and their complexity;
- Apply new scientific technologies;
- Understand the study and use of historical sources and historiography;
- Understand the basic vertical areas of application;
- Understand the basic principles and methods of acquiring knowledge (historical facts);
- Understand the competencies connected to generalization and drawing conclusions based on historical facts
- Understand and apply the key aspects of historical sources and historiography;
- Understand and apply the historical knowledge in the most complex jobs;
- Understand and apply the scientific methods adequate for dealing with problems related to history;
- Identify and understand the methodological approaches to the problems of the historical system;
- understand historical processes and apply the acquired knowledge in daily work
- Analyse the situation, identify the circumstances and define problems met by organisations and individuals;
- Model historical processes and data in organisations and apply models in the development of the historical system;
- Understand and apply ethical principles, legal regulations and professional norms
- Using their knowledge and skills, students will be able to participate in various services of the free market and freelance professions, e.g. in schools, archives, museums, in public and private cultural and political institutions, in the publishing and bookselling, in jobs related to advertising and marketing;
- Successfully communicate with users and colleagues in oral and written manner using specific terminology, including the ability to communicate about the profession in a foreign language
- Keep up-to-date on professional literature in Croatian and foreign languages;
- Prepare and autonomously deliver presentations in Croatian and a foreign language to professional as well as general audience, and critically evaluate the professional topic presented;
- Understand and apply the learning skills required for lifelong learning and further education in a postgraduate study programme of history
- Understand and apply the basic principles of planning and development in terms of career and entrepreneurial endeavours.

On completion of the MA Study Programme in History, the students will have acquired the competencies required to:
